There is such an abundance of evidence for each of the events and conditions –such as telepathy and out-of-body travel – that it’s baffling why this subject is not common knowledge. That’s how thorough the religious and cultural indoctrination to obscure and discredit our true spiritual nature has been for centuries. This evidence is not the hard data which traditional Newtonian science will accept as proof of the Soul’s powers; science has no protocols for examining spiritual consciousness. Science has never honestly and openly investigated the spiritual nature of humanity.

Evidence of our spiritual nature doesn’t grow in a petri dish, and won’t quantify itself in mathematical formulas. Often it seems as intangible as a ghost passing in the night. Nevertheless, it is real, valid – and vitally important. When the mountain of positive evidence in the 75-plus examples of spiritual experience is considered, the sheer weight shifts the burden of proof to one of acceptance for most rational thinkers. Public opinion polls in the last decade indicate many of these “mystical experiences” are occurring not only to the mystics, but also to millions of average human beings. A 1987 poll by the University of Chicago’s National Opinion Research Council revealed that 43 percent of American adults – some 60 million people – say they have had a “mystical experience.” Furthermore, an amazing 36 percent believe that God has spoken to them. 1 We possess some of these talents and abilities now – generally without conscious awareness – but each can be greatly enhanced if utilized on a fully conscious level. Such unrecognized spiritual abilities are often masked in odd events during everyday circumstances.

For instance, have you ever:

Met a total stranger and instantly felt that you knew that person – or even loved them?
Known the doorbell or telephone was going to ring?
Known who was at the door, or on the phone, before answering?
Known the precise moment someone was going to walk into the room?
Known who that person was, before you could see them?
The moment that person walked into the room, your eyes met, and you silently acknowledged each other?
Thought or dreamed about someone, and had them visit or call you soon afterward?
Felt someone looking at you, and turned to see them doing so?
Spoken “strange words” which you hadn’t consciously thought, or which you felt weren’t your own?
Sensed a disturbing event happening at a distance which involved someone close to you?
Simultaneously spoke or experienced the same thought as someone close to you?
Telephoned a close friend or loved one, who simultaneously telephoned you, and you both get busy signals?
Experienced mental telepathy with your child, or someone else very close to you?
Experienced a creative daydream, in which your consciousness was suddenly drawn into another dimension of focus, where a complex intuitive flash of information came to you?
Sensed a feeling of peace and serenity in a church or holy place, at the ocean or in a forest?
Had a premonition while driving of danger on the road ahead, and had your suspicions confirmed?

These are common, everyday examples of some of your spiritual characteristics, which are rarely acknowledged, and generally written off as “coincidence” when they occur. They are all examples of your spiritual talents at work. These talents will be enhanced and expanded as your Soul awakens, for now you are open to these experiences, and realize their importance in your life.

In Awakening The Soul: Book One: Proof of Our Spiritual Nature, author Bill Missett has gone to great lengths in his research. He traces different spiritual traits like out of body travel back into ancient time, often to the beginning of recorded time. Then he goes on to follow it through to the present day.

He shows evidence of our spiritual nature from scientific and historical sources, documents all sources and in doing so builds a case worth of defense in any court of law.

He documents all of this in layman’s terms anyone can read and grasp. I found this book riveting and educational, as well as food for the soul, making it a definite future re-read. My thanks to Bill for all the time and effort he put into researching and documenting this book.
